Charles P and Caroline A Henry Champion

In 1883, Charles Perry Champion (1837 – 1931) married Caroline Augusta Henry (1848 – 1920).

In August 1925 Westerly Rhode Island opened a new hospital. The hospital campus included an “auxiliary to the hospital, the Sarah Alexander Champion Home for nurses.” Charles P Champion of Avondale donated the $85,000 building in memory of his mother. His donation today is about 1.5 million dollars.
