Henry Family Heritage

The Henry Family name was passed through sons until Harold Joshua Henry youngest son of Joshua P. Henry and Annie Eliza Flynn Henry. As the story has it, Charles P. Champion, brother-in-law of Joshua, purchased the two family house at 240 East 240th for Annie, "in her old age." Harold and his young wife, Katherine Ann Rooney Henry, raised their family of four girls; caring for the home and for Annie. The Henry Heritage persists through the children and grandchildren of those four sisters.

The house, particularly the back yard and the ubiquitous American Sycamore, play a prominent role in the many pictures displayed on this site.

This site began with pictures that had been saved by Ann Henry Mahony. However, more pictures and stories have been shared by other family members.
